To make the second skin for Happy Horse, I used the left-over black and white canes from the mare with her foal. I pressed the canes together to form a ball. Then I made slices, about 5 mm thick, of that ball.
The pasta machine is the best friend of all clayers, so I rolled the slices through a setting that gave me a sheet approximately 1 mm.
So I covered the horse, thus giving her a second skin. And as you can see, she was very happy with it!
She will have a passenger on her back, so next step will be the creation of this little passenger.
